"Passion Forward"

While listening to an interview of Michaela Boehm, a gifted counselor of cognitive women's empowerment, I grasped an interesting concept of life. She explained her thoughts on someone asking for a Bio of her life. She further stated that it makes her cringe because a Bio is only a snapshot of her life. While our passions are ever-changing as our lives continue.

When I think of what people think of you compared with who you actually are, I am able validate Boehm's point of a snapshot. The people closest to you can be one of your largest supporters. On the other hand, they can also discourage you. Not so much as malcontent, but because they don't understand your path. And as a result they box you into their own perceptions of where you may go. Over the weekend I read, "What If It Does Work?" from the Owner/Editor of Impact Magazine. She speaks of the moment when you actually reach your level of success. When all of the endless 'no's' become a 'yes'. Do you have things in place to accept it? We are faced with so many tribulations and ready to brace ourselves for a let down that, but what happens when it actually works? It connects back to the snapshot. The snapshot of making it; putting in the time, branding and networking. The Bio is a picture perfect ideal of who you are, but your growing passion can't be housed there. Remember that. #PassionForward
