The Return of Pick Up Lines
The struggle with pick lines went from bad to oddly worse. Years ago I remember pick lines like this... "You gotta man?" "But can I be your friend?" "Ain't no way your're single, today must be my lucky day." The most random pick up line I've heard this year was... "Can I get your number?" (No) "Okay well you can take mine." (No thank you) "Can you braid my hair? I just want you to braid my hair, please!" [Wait, what????] I didn't know if I should laugh, respond or just keep walking. I was so thrown off by the question, I actually did all three. The single life and these pick up lines are by far out of control. Sometimes I wonder if there will be a day that I'm actually intrigued by the pick up line, which will actually spark a conversation. One day, I guess.
