A Dollar & A Dream: The Life of @Blogger

I want to start off by saying thank you for taking the time to read this. The hours it takes to create, develop, edit, and deliver blog posts are well worth it when someone takes two minutes out of their day to read it. Now, how can I describe being a Blogger? And a consistent one at that. Let's see.... You know how you spend an extra few bucks to see your favorite artist perform. And in your mind, you want it to be the best performance or similar performance to the best you've seen. Yeah, that's us. We are the performer, attempting to deliver the best each time you read a post. Only we don't always get paid to deliver the best we've got. And that's okay, this job is completely our decision. We are not held at gunpoint to entertain, inspire and engage you. What I've learned within the past seven months of consistent delivery is how quickly my techniques have changed. The first 2 months I'm gonna say I was "blogger-happy." Translation: I was putting out newsletters everyday, trying to write long (I'm just trying to get my point across) posts and then some. I was sadly mistaken as life began to overlap my "blogger-happy" plans. All of the consistency I tried to deliver, became inconsistent because I simply couldn't do it all without a strategic and effective plan. I had to cut some of those newsletters out and condense some posts. I was thinking 'quantity' engage my subscribers everyday. Instead of 'quality' give a thought-provoking/engaging post a few times a week. To all of you potential bloggers, creative ideas will come, but it doesn't mean become eclectic with them. Stick to your theme, your audience and most importantly your purpose. Factor in, what works best with your work regiments and daily routines. Let's keep it real, most of us are still working 9-5's. I turned my blog into my outlet and my inspiration. And you can too. Please, please, please work smarter, not harder. Blogger life is what you make it.
