"If Hallmark Could Talk for Us"

Do you ever feel like your words are somehow lost in translation in the heat of the moment? It's almost like those dreams I know you've all had where you're running from something, but your legs feel like weights. Yes, this is the same feeling as you stand face to face in an intense argument and your thoughts are racing. Yet the words your heart has been yearning to say becomes stuck in the quick sand of passion. So one day I was in The Giant with my sister and she was taking forever. I couldn't find her. And after going through almost every aisle, I found her in the Hallmark section. The first thing I asked was, "Are you getting a card for someone?" She said no. The next question was, "Well, why are you standing in the middle of this aisle reading a card?" And what she told me, is what inspired this post. She said that sometimes when she is feeling down, she comes to this section of the market to get clarity and an understanding of what's going on in her life. She said that in a way it seems like the cards are speaking to her on touching topics that are beyond her understanding. She ended the conversation by saying she wishes that the cards could take her place when she's trying to express how she truly feels. When I tell you there were then, two confused souls standing in the middle of the aisle. It was just that. Her being inspired by Hallmark's words inspired me. The fact that someone could come to a local market, just to help them grasp life and the complications that comes along with it is mind-blowing. Very unconventional, but in some cases very beneficial. & you learn something new everyday, even about those the closest to you. Thanks Kelly, I was truly inspired.
