"Put Them on Replay, Zendaya"

Throughout the years we have had bold celebrity moments that gave critics 'something' to talk about. From Britney shaving her head to Kanye interrupting Taylor's speech. I totally get it from that aspect when there's an actual reason for unsolicited comments. But some comments are inexcusable, Giuliana!

After seeing Zendaya's red carpet look at the Oscars with her dreadlock hairstyle, Guiliana commented that her dreads must have smelled of 'patchouli oil' and 'weed.' Now the comment was made on E! Fashion Police, where Joan Rivers was the queen of inappropriate comments. I get it, it's playful; they joke, laugh and gossip. But don't try to initially apologize and save face like you were referring to a 'Bohemian' or 'chic' look. Zendaya response had to take you to school a little bit. Had she didn't, sadly enough you would have thought that comment was okay and just funny. So I guess if Zendaya wasn't offended you would apologize less since it's about the end result? Too bad Zendaya's response wasn't as distasteful as your comment. That would only serve your senseless comment right, right?

Zendaya is a role model to a lot of young kids out there. She's also a very talented actress/singer. So how will you explain to your nieces or nephews, that their idol may possibly smell of weed? Furthermore, how can you compare that comment to chic? Let's rehearse some diction before going on Television and opening our mouths, shall we? I'm glad that this was a learning experience for Giuliana on what to say, even if you claim you are simply joking. Not just for you, but for the sake of your career. Zendaya, just like spectators thought your reason for choosing not to play Aaliyah had something to do with race and now this ignorant comment; it means nothing. It's obviously not the first and it won't be the last. Put their criticisms on replay and keep doing you. They honestly think their opinions make the world go around.
