Turning Over A New Leaf

Sometimes the only way to move forward is to leave somethings behind. No one wants to start over and stand in front of a blank canvas of what comes next. Change seems like such a big word, such a big step when you feel forced into it. When life squeezes out all of your wants and replaces it with what you need. When is it okay to loosen those grips of what your used to? It will require isolation from your comfort zone. It will make you feel as if your are walking completely alone. And that's okay. Fill that emptiness with plans, things to look forward to. Create a vision board, try something new, and 'think big.' There are plenty of tactics to get you started with your best foot forward. My absolute worse fear is getting trapped into a cycle of no progression. I've seen this quote several times, we all get the same 24 hours. It's what you do with it. We can't continue to do the exact same thing everyday and expect a different result. I want to believe that you all aren't insane, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. You are not Bill Murray and the concept of movie Groundhog Day does not exist. We won't get the same day to repeat, change our actions and learn from. The next 24 hours will always repeat, but once that day is gone, it's gone. Who knows what type of opportunity was made available within that specific day that you may have missed. If you don't remember anything else that I said remember these three helpful tips. 1. Look out for tests because they will come. They will tempt you to go bak to your old ways and make you believe that it's what's best for you. It's not! 2. Don't play with fire. If turning a new leaf requires dietary restrictions, don't accept that invitation to a cake tasting. That's just not smart, let alone healthy for you. 3. Lastly, stay focused. This is a combination of the first two. Be aware of what things can benefit or hinder you. That includes; recognizing a test, declining flaming invitations to deter you from your goals and staying true to yourself. You do only live once, so make it as valuable as possible.
